« Boomers, re-dux | Main | Changing voice »

I have been mulling these words over for almost a week. I am still not sure I understand the deeper meaning, but I just watched the State of the Union and I hope the Tao Te Ching has it right.

I was a bit puzzled by it myself, especially since I didn't have a specific question in mind when I randomly chose that chapter.

I posted it right before the SCOTUS decision in Citizens United v. FEC (the one having to do with corporate personhood), and since then I've been contemplating it in that regard.

I always love Mitchell's translations, and this one is good. Like Sharon, I think it's good food for thought at this time, especially.

Thanks for the post. I've been rediscovering the idea of yielding and find that I'm living a happier life right now.
