When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Let it be, let it be. Yeah
There will be an answer, let it be.
And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.-- "Let It Be" , Paul McCartney/John Lennon
The first image that came to my mind was the full moon that has lit up our yard the last two nights, though there is no moon tonight amidst the clouds. I know this song so well that I automatically hear the tune when I read the words, which are soothing in their reassurance and repetition. This is the perfect inspiration for a January night.

Like a lullaby, maybe, or one of those freight trains I hear nearby, rocking its way through the night.
