So ... I used to live in a city by a river where paddlewheel steamboats were an everyday sight (formerly used for commerce; now used in the tourism industry.)
I've moved all the way across the country, and here I am ... living in a city by a river with steamboats ... not to mention barges and tugboats, once again.

Even on this blustery, cold and snowy day, there were tourist buses lined up by the pier.
I love the atmospheric-ness (if that is a word) of the photo.

From one "Boomer girl" to another ... thanks ;) . I find it very easy to take photos like this around here, because the Pacific Northwest itself is so "atmospheric". It seems like every day is different; there's always something new and wonderful to get into. Not a bad way to live at age 53.
Thanks for stopping by. I just checked out your blog and am looking forward to reading back through it. It looks fun. :)
